Dr. Jayne Engle

Dr. Jayne Engle is Co-Director of Participatory Canada, with the Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre and part of the Participatory City Global ecosystem. She's also currently working with cities in Eastern Europe on social listening & urban transformation in collaboration with ALC in the Basque Country and the UN Development Programme. Her new book, Sacred Civics: Building Seven Generation Cities, co-edited with Julian Agyeman and Tanya Chung-Tiam-Fook, is a curation of works by 25 contributors that manifests ways to decolonize systems, take a long-term view, and imagine shaping cities as if peoples, lands, and nature were sacred.
