Kate is currently the Director of Regional Planning for Halifax Regional Municipality and an Adjunct Faculty member at the Dalhousie School of Planning. Kate has 18 years of experience working as a Planner with 12 years of experience supervising and managing teams in both the public and private sectors. She currently oversees the municipality’s Regional Planning Division– which has responsibility for the long-range settlement pattern, affordable housing programs, culture and heritage planning, green network planning and research data analysis. As part of this work, Kate is overseeing HRM’s community action planning for African Nova Scotian Communities.
